Trace Solutions is a boutique coaching firm geared to support wedding and beauty professionals. With a focus on productivity, branding, marketing, sales, automation, and systems, we bring industry knowledge, 18 years of professional experience, and execution strategies to serve our clients.
Listen, I can remember the days of searching for someone to guide me. I spent HOURS on Google searching for coaches, consultants, makeup artists, ANYBODY, who was willing to take me under their wing and lead the way. I even searched for paid mentorships, because time is money and I understand that as a small business owner and entrepreneur. But 10 years ago, finding these leaders were few and far between, let alone in the beauty industry. I would get so FRUSTRATED! All I wanted was someone to bounce ideas off of and then either give me a few recommendations, or point me into the direction of where I needed to go next. I just wanted to be proactive and avoid some of the most common mistakes that an experienced or veteran makeup artist (or wedding professional) may have already made. So trial and error was what I had to experience.
There were also times when I would find FREE RESOURCES on Instagram and online. I would listen for hours and hours on end to Facebook webinars, only to find that they were a bunch of FLUFF and business jargon that taught me ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! I was READY......TO.....TAKE.....ACTION! Are you?

Yessss to social media! Your Instagram is setup, and your stories and lives are poppin'! But having the proper business foundation is SO important! When starting a business, we often skip over all of these things, and jump straight to the FUN stuff, like social media or Etsy. And I get it, creating gorgeous looks, designing beautiful ads, and planning your social media posts are so much more fun than writing a business plan! Understanding business basics and mapping out your plan FIRST will help you be profitable and avoid costly mistakes.

One of the mistakes I've witnessed when working with beauty professionals is that they have not taken the time to create a targeted brand. Your brand is much more than a logo, website, color scheme, and catchy name. Your brand says everything about who YOU ARE as a business, what you do, your WHY, the clients you want to attract, and what sets your apart from EVERYONE ELSE who is doing the same work as you. If you aren't attracting your ideal or dream client, then there is high possibility that your BRAND isn't speaking to them!
Simply put, your brand is your promise to your client. It tells them what they can expect from your products and services, and it differentiates your offering from your competitors'. Your brand is derived from who you are, who you want to be and who people perceive you to be. The foundation of your brand is your logo, your website, packaging and promotional materials, all of which should communicate your brand.

IF YOU BUILD IT, THEY WILL COME.........NOT!! Just because you build it, does not mean clients or customers will just come MAGICALLY POURING in!
Now that you have discovered and established brand identity, let's start MARKETING! You must have a solid plan in place to market to your ideal clients/customers so that they know your business exists and are captivated enough to inquire about your products and/or services. Your marketing strategy should consist of be CONTINUOUS and CONSISTENT to keep you #BookedandBusy.

To have a SUCCESSFUL and HEALTHY business, it is just as IMPORTANT to work "on" your business as it is working "in" your business. Systems are important so that business and processes continue to run smoothly and efficiently, ESPECIALLY when you aren't present. Key details, double-bookings, failure to follow-up with your clients and/or leads ALL LEAVE current and prospective clients less than thrilled to work with you!
